Bicycle trail

Cyclists in Pécs have dreamt of a long and uninterrupted trail that would connect Pécs and Orfű, and which they could use to enjoy bicycle excursions safely and comfortably, while enjoying the unique landscapes that the Mecsek Mountains offer.

The bicycle trail starts in Ürög, a suburb of Pécs and leads through a forest roughly along the road to Orfű. It runs along the side of Orfű Lake for about a mile, to then turn towards Abaliget. It connects the most beautiful landscapes and most interesting attractions of the region, and also provides a bicycle link towards Lake Balaton.

• Existing bicycle trail length: 1,115 m
• Newly constructed bicycle trail length: 10,296 m
• Low-traffic roads suitable for cycling: 8,720 m
• Total length of the Pécs-Orfű-Abaliget bicycle trail: 20,131 m
