The village of Orfű is situated at the foot of the Western Mecsek Mountains. It is famous for its artificial lakes, created by damming in the 1960s, as well as for its natural environment. The holiday resort was gradually developed further, reaching the peak of its popularity in the 1980s. The open-air swimming pool was also built at this time. It is located to the west of Pécsi Lake, on an area of 73,613 square metres. It has locker rooms and sanitary rooms for use by visitors as well as a row of bars and restaurants around the plot.

The old open-air swimming pool has been replaced by a new adventure pool with strung water surface, a competition pool and a jet bath, ensuring that visitors can walk around the pools and the lake. The pool area forms an enclosed unit.
The pool complex consists of special water experience facilities and spaces, where all members of the family will find something they enjoy.
This pool is 2 metres deep, and is designed to be suitable for competitive swimming or even water polo matches. The strip separating the adventure pools also makes it possible to use the top as a stand or sunbathing terrace, which makes the facility truly multifunctional. The average water temperature is 24°C.
Fizzling and blow nozzles are installed on the sitting surfaces of the pool, so swimmers can enjoy back, waist and thigh massages.
The aquapark is equipped with special, so-called adventure slides. Young visitors can enjoy the children’s slide designed especially with them in mind, while adults can jump on any one of four slides attached to the shared ‘launch tower’. The competition slide starts from the first level, the kamikaze and the tube slides start from the second level, and the open-top spiral slide starts from the third level.
When designing the children’s pool, we took the needs of both very small and older children into consideration. The smallest can play in the paddling pool, and the older of our young guests can enjoy the adventure pool. The children’s pool is clearly visible from anywhere in the Aquapark, and is very easy to reach, making life just that extra bit easier for families.
The domed part of the main entrance building houses the new ticket office and the entry system, while toilets, showers, lockers and the restaurant with garden seating are situated near the entrance.
The main entrance building complex is adjacent to an area that is suitable for various events, and is also fitted with a stage.
Those who enjoy more than just water sports when the sun is out will not be disappointed: the Aquapark has a pitch with artificial lawn for 5-a-side football as well as a beach volleyball court.
Where once stood a sandbox in the old pool complex, is now a new, state-of-the-art playground. Children can try a variety of games on the sandy surface:
All equipment complies with the strictest safety standards.
