Water fun without borders – The Aquapark in Orfű is completed

Finally we don’t have to go far for a little swimming pool experience - On August 13, 2010 the Aquapark in Orfű was opened and now it’s awaiting the lovers of Summer and water with pools, jet bath, and water slides.

The Aquapark in Orfű was realized as a station of the Baranya Fun Tour and as a real adventure pool park it became a shining star on the sky of Pannonia.

The investment is worth about 1.3 billion forints but the result is living up to the European standard making the Aquapark in Orfű matchless in Hungary.

The following attractions are awaitng the lovers of water:

• Water streams: nozzles installed along the circular side of the pool create streams of water that drift people around.
• Water mushrooms: little ‘gargoyles’ emerge above the surface, and water flows down their spherical sides.
• Family slide: visitors can enjoy an open wavy slide that leads from an elevated point on the island. Thanks to its width, more than one people can lock arms and slide down at the same time, making for a great family experience.
• Shoulder and neck massage: neck and shoulder massagers are installed on the walls of the pool.
• Fizzling boards: special boards are installed in the bottom of the pool, which pump air into the water from below, creating a pleasant fizzy sensation.
• Beds: another attraction to visitors who enjoy massages. These elevated beds are installed in the pool, and water is pumped into the flat surface from below, which creates a sense of enjoying a massage.

In addition, there is a swimming pool, which is suitable for sport events and competitions; adventure slides (four slides attached to the shared ‘launch tower’: competition slides, kamikaze slide, tube slide, open-top spiral slide), a 500 m2 stand, and stage are awaiting the water enthusiasts.

When designing the children’s pool, the needs of both very small and older children were taken into consideration. The smallest can play in the paddling pool, and the older of our young guests can enjoy the adventure pool. The children’s pool is clearly visible from anywhere in the Aquapark, and is very easy to reach, making life just that extra bit easier for families.

Those who wish to relax were taken into regard as well. A variety of items can be found on the territory of the Aquapark: the jet bath as well as the special back massage waterfalls. The center of the Aquapark is the pool area, which is equipped with every novelty that is related to water and bathing so that the whole family can have their tastes catered.
