At the beginning of Summer there was plenty of precipitation, therefore in September we are not even surprised.
The weather also indicates the arrival of Autumn, so it’s time to settle into the rut, get back to school, to the hectic weekdays. Although the optimists hope that the Indian Summer of sunshine will be part of our lives, despite this, the Aquapark in Orfű closed its doors for this season.
During the three-week trial everyone had the opportunity to try out the different adventures while the operators tested whether they require a correction, thereby ensuring uninterrupted entertainment for the visitors in the future.
There is no need to worry if you’ve missed the opportunity to inaguarate the slides and pools this year. The water funpark will be back again next year and then you can reach it through the Pécs-Orfű Abaliget bicycle route. The area's most beautiful scenery and interesting sights are connected by this route, which is expected to be handed over at the end of this year. In the meantime, the other three stars of Pannonia are waiting for us.
The Orfű Active Water touristic Centre has many forms of watersports to try. The sailing and windsurfing can be found in the same palette as well as canoeing or even the exotic dragon boating. Although the weather is not very kind to those, who wish to recharge, rather to the fans of extreme sports.
But even those can rest assured, who voted for recreation. The Renaissance Theme park at Bikal will continue to welcome visitors with exciting programs.
On 25-26 September "In vino veritas" - Harvest Festival gives you the opportunity to learn about the Hungarian wine regions. Visitors are awaited with wine and must tasting, cheese tasting, tests of skill and competitions. The programs will be made more colorful by the performance of wine songs.

The Slaughtermen’s Festival will take place on 20-21 November. Again the eating and drinking will have the main role at this event. There will be food and pálinka tasting, and then their classification. In addition to eating we can learn about the process, traditions and tools of slaughtering pigs.
Have you had enough of the delicious beverages? We thought you haven’t! That is why we recommend everyone the Hidden Wine Village in Mecseknádasd and its special features, such as pleasant winter recreation. The House of Crafts, the Wine Treasury and the Wine Experience Park ensure and create special circumstances to enable visitors the wine tasting from producers around. In the Grape Pálinka Distillery Museum visitors can get a comprehensive picture of authentic contemporary production methods. The museum also has an area dedicated to pálinka tasting, including an outdoor terrace, which provides an outstanding environment for tasting the freshly made pálinkas. A set of stairs that leads through the vineyard and an accessible path both lead to the vaulted cellar at the top of the hill, which enjoys the highest position in the entire village. It also boasts the Cellar Lookout, offering picturesque views of the eastern ranges of the Mecsek Mountains.
